Timed Stadium Sports Knowledge Challenge

Four timed press-box quarters

Championship Press Box divides a full sports knowledge run into four quarters of five questions. Easy allows 82 seconds per quarter, medium 72, and hard 62. The countdown waits for the first answer or Coach's Hint, stops after the fifth play, and resets before the next quarter. This structure creates four short, readable scoring windows instead of one long timer that punishes a careful opening question.

Timeouts, hints, and streak scoring

Three timeout lives last across the complete twenty-play fixture. A wrong answer removes one timeout, deducts forty points, resets the streak, and turns into a muted ruled-out board. Easy supplies four coach hints, medium three, and hard two for the whole run. A hint costs thirty points and briefly outlines the correct board without selecting it. Correct calls combine a base award, remaining seconds, and a growing streak bonus; clearing a quarter adds another reward based partly on unused time.

Pause and restart keep state predictable

P, Escape, or Pause freezes an active quarter clock without changing the question, answer order, score, timeouts, hints, or streak. Resume continues from the same second. R or Restart creates a new order at the current level, while selecting another level starts a fresh fixture with its own clock and hint allowance. The challenge is fully local and single-player, with no account, live feed, opponent, chat, matchmaking, room code, betting, or background request for results.
