Four independent five-stop route clocks

The 20-question session is divided into four shuffled routes of five countries. The clock waits until the first answer or Atlas Clue, stops when the fifth capital is confirmed, and resets before the next route begins. Easy allows 82 seconds per route, medium allows 70, and hard allows 58. A difficult country therefore cannot consume time reserved for every later group, while quick recognition still earns a meaningful time bonus.

Balance route tickets, clues, and streaks

Three punched route-ticket lives last across the entire itinerary. A wrong city removes 46 points, resets the streak, disables that switch, and spends one ticket; using the third closes the run. Easy supplies four Atlas Clues, medium three, and hard two. Each clue costs 28 points and adds a region-specific locator. Correct capitals award a base score, remaining seconds, and a growing streak bonus, while each cleared route adds another time-sensitive reward.

Pause or reset without hidden server state

Pause, P, or Escape freezes an active countdown while preserving the country, city order, rejected answers, score, tickets, clues, streak, and remaining seconds. Resume continues from the same second. Restart or R creates a fresh 20-country itinerary at the selected level. Choosing Easy, Medium, or Hard also starts a clean run with the matching country pool, timer, and clue allowance. Timing, scoring, shuffling, and progress all remain in the current browser page.
