Press 1-4 or A-D to open a visible answer drawer directly. Arrow keys move among answers that have not been rejected, while Space or Enter selects the focused drawer. H or L uses a Reveal Lens, P or Escape pauses or resumes the active folio, and R restarts the chosen detail level with a fresh plate order. These commands work before and after using the shared Fullscreen control.
Fullscreen keeps the visual hierarchy intact
Fullscreen expands The Looking Cabinet title, five-field HUD, brass picture viewer, SVG clue plate, glass-slide lives, four answer drawers, five-stop folio rail, Reveal Lens, Pause action, explanation note, and keyboard help without changing any rule. Focus uses a thick cyan outline; correct identification uses mint; mistakes use coral; and rejected drawers remain visibly dimmed. The picture itself scales from a stable viewBox instead of becoming pixelated.
A complete single-player keyboard route
The keyboard can start the countdown, identify all 20 plates, spend lenses, pause, resume, move focus, and restart. Pointer and touch controls remain equivalent inside and outside fullscreen. Fullscreen changes only presentation size; it does not enable uploads, camera access, generated images, accounts, opponents, chat, matchmaking, multiplayer rooms, code links, or a leaderboard. All illustrations, labels, notes, clocks, scores, and state transitions stay local to the browser.
